Please help me understanding following:
If I wish to change my address, I agree that I have to give letter/form duly filled and signed to insurance company.
But my insurance company is not allowing me to change email id or mobile number through online portal (I use login given by company). Their statement is ‘Any change in personal details has to be communicated to insurance company in writing’.
My question is what IRDA rule says about change in personal details. Also can change of email id or mobile number be brought under term ‘change of personal details’?
I tried finding answer on web but not sucsessful. Can anybody help me if possible give me link where answer is clearly mentioned?

An agent called me from Penn National & the rates she quoted were great… a few hundred less than we’re used to paying. When I log in to an online portal it appears I have just a quote and not a policy even tho they have take out an initial payment from my bank account (I’m paying monthly installments – one deposit and 10 installments). Have sent two emails yesterday and no reply what do you think I should do?

I have had many bad experiences in my previous marriage with my ex-husband with trust and honesty. I am very comfortable and convinced with this new guy that he would never cheat me or hurt me in anyway like my ex-hus did. So I really did not ever think that age is an issue. I’m very much attracted to him and he feels the same towards me. I have a 10year old girl and am divorced. He has 2 girls, one is 19yrs and the other is 9years and he is divorced as well. We both are really in love with each other that we are very serious and are seriously talking about getting married within a year or so. The guy has his own home. The home is on his and his ex-wife’s name. He mentioned to me that if we get married, we both would be living out separately, renting our own place. He has been divorced for 10years and never got married again. He mentioned to me that even though he is divorced, he did not update it in his job employee portal, and that his wife is still the beneficiary for everything like insurance etc…He mentioned to me that if something were to happen to him, his ex-wife is the only person that could take care of his 2 girls and they both have the girls in common. In the beginning he was very worried that I’m interested in him because he has his own house etc….Obviously his ex-wife also jointly owns his home. So I’m 100%sure that I won’t even get a piece of it if something were to happen to him after we get married, as the ex-wife is the joint owner and they have 2 girls. Now he is convinced that I’m with him just because of only love and not because of any other selfish interests. I’m really not after his money. I truly love the guy and want him to live longer and want to live with him as long as time and destiny permits.
After talking to couple of my other friends I’m starting to think…..I really am not only because of his money, but realistically thinking, if I marry him and if I’m is wife, I will be the one taking care of him and loving him at the same time partially caring for his 9yr girl when the girl comes to spend with her dad. Don’t I have a right to deserve a little bit after all my love and care I give him. Especially, 10 years from now, he will turn 60yrs and might start have slight health problems etc..When I’m willing to spend the rest of my life with him and am still okay with the fact that he is 20 years older than me, don’t I deserve something from him? He is almost settled in his life and career, he is in a managerial position at work. I still need to advance in my career. I’m currently working in an administrative position. I want to do Masters and advance. I already mentioned this to me and he is okay with me studying after marriage.
After all that being said, let me come straight to the point…it will be very hard for me with my kid, my job, my online/partime masters, and spending time with my new husband (after we get married)…God forbid if something happens to me, can someone please tell me what will I be entitled to? (any benefits from him). Again….I’m not trying to be greedy or selfish here..I’m just trying to think practically. Even after our marriage, if he still has his ex-wife’s name as his beneficiary…and if something were to happen to him, I’m just worried that everything will go to his ex-wife and nothing to me??? Please let me know how this works. I don’t want to open my mouth and ask him that he has to put me as his beneficiary. He mgiht think that I’m after his money. But this is not at all the case. I really don’t have any money saved up but am a very loving,caring and hard working person. And he is 100% positive that I will love and take care of him very well.
