If you’re looking for employment, the first thing you need to do is look for a jobs listings website because that’s where all the action is at the moment. Sector 1 is a UK-based website that features an extensive list of jobs in in the private and public sector. However, if you have a special interest in a public sector job, I would daresay it has a longer list of Sector1 public sector jobs that you can apply for.
I’ve visited the site once and was impressed by its navigation and design (pardon me but I do have a soft spot for websites as I’m into web design). You can easily search for a job in the left-hand site – just type in a keyword and drop down to your industry. So, for example, if you are a secretary and you want to work in an advertising company, just type “secretary” then scroll down to Advertising under Filter by category. Then click on “Search now”.
If you’re looking for a job in a specific company, click on Advanced search. I found at least 100 companies when I scrolled down.
